Hi Steve,
as you will know best source for XR parts is ebay. Since it is quite tricky to get rid of any excessive search results I've setup a special searchstring and stored it under "
Links" on the left menu (last entry at the bottom line, most visited).
All XR1000 Parts numbers are listed in
Manuals > Parts .
Anything not listed here is standard Sportster XLH.
>>Pushrods x4:
It might become difficult to find some stock pushrods.
XRNUThas been selling pushruds and tubes one year ago...
Maybe you just ask XRNUT where he got those he selled.
Having made some custom pushrods would be another option.
Most racers remove the factory aluminum pushrods and replace them with steel, the aluminum jobs flex too much.
Smith Brothers was once recommended to me by Aaron Wilson, but I've sticked to the stock pushrods I already had:
>>tubes x4
As far as I remember the tubes are really just straight tubes of two (or four) different lenght. Once you find aluminum tubes with the same outer diameter you may easily cut them yourself (please anybody correct me if I'm wrong)
>>startermotor
Is this becoming a street legal replica?
Check
here
>>supertrapp exhaust or similar
Supertrapps are seeked but rarely listed parts in ebay. We adjusted a set of used XR750 pipes to fit the XR1000 cylinder height.
>>XRTT body kit painted or other wise
We got ours from Sweden, but it was made from Glass (thick GFRP = heavy). We once borrowed the tank to Joerg, another XR racer, to make a mould and have a copy. He's not a member of the forum, but you may try to contact him via email

or phone +49 172/8888218
He may let you know what to pay for another copy of the tank and give you other details (weight, where to get another fairing). Note that the contact details are 2 years old and might not be up to date...
Maybe XRNUT or BREWSKI can provide other sources beside
Airtech .
However, Jan-Willem and some more people have made no good experience with them, e.g. won't sell to Europe.
Cheers,
Tom
