Trying to combine my holidays last week with good weather and riding my XR, I let lead me by the sun. This trip started in Augsburg, checking for oil leaks, oil level and tire pressure.
Riding southwest, I crossed the nice city "Ochsenhausen" with its gigantic monastery and its little steam train.
At short notice, I decided to visit Oli, who lives close at the Bodensee. At this point thanks a lot to You, Oli, and Your wife for the great hospatility.
The next day we took a look to the waterfall in Neuhausen, called "Rheinfall" and afterwards I continued my trip eastward - along the south region of the Bodensee. At about 4 pm I reached the west station of the "Silvretta Hochalpentraße". When I asked the porter for the street condition, he told me, that theres is obligation to ride snow tires in Austria since 11/01, but if I ride the turns carefully, it will go. I didn´t have much time to consider or even to turn back, because the dawn was starting to break (damned wintertime...). So I pushed the shifter down and the speed up. Sad that most turns were wet and not possible to ride at high speed, but I enjoyed the great panorama. With the sundown I reached my next aim Imst, where I spend the evening in the sauna, to warm my legs.
The third day of the trip was the last and I choosed the way home over some nice little passes and warm valleys.
